Graphene is a substance composed of pure carbon, with atoms arranged in a regular hexagonal pattern similar to graphite, but in a one-atom thick sheet. Graphene is already used in many items such as electrodes, solar cells, transistors, mobile devices and lithium-ion batteries. Many scientists believe it could be the material that will transform our lives in the future.
