The XLVIII Zakopane School of Physics - Breaking Frontiers: Submicron Structures in Physics and Biology' conference will be held from 20 to 25 May 2013 in Zakopane, Poland.

Organized by the Institute of Nuclear Physics Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakown, the conference will be covering submicron structures from design and characterization to applications.

The event will cover physics for medicine and biology, with topics such as molecular and intercellular interactions, bio-markers and bio-sensors, radiation damage and biomaterials; as well as environment and protection with special attention devoted to photosynthesis, heavy metal stress, pollution and its monitoring, corrosion protection mechanisms, renewable sources of energy.

The event will provide attendees with an opportunity to discuss some of the recent technical achievements in submicron structure investigations.For further information, please visit:
