'Mantra Project Workshop at CLEF 2013 Conference', Valencia, Spain
As part of the CLEF initiative, MANTRA project partners will offer participants a challenge on multi-lingual entity recognition (ER) in the biomedical domain. They will be asked to annotate multi-lingual corpora with boundaries and identifiers for named entities from a biomedical terminology (the Unified Medical Language System).
The challenge will provide the biomedical multi-lingual terminology with a set of parallel corpora (with annotations for English) consisting of patent texts, scientific article titles and drug labels, in English, German, French, Spanish, and Dutch. This will allow participants to use a variety of methods such as machine translation alignment methods or monolingual named entity recognition and grounding. Participants will be expected to annotate at least one non- English corpus.
The results of the CLEF-ER challenge will be discussed during the workshop at the CLEF 2013 conference. For further information, please visit:
