The GRF (Global Risk Forum) One Health Summit will be held from 17 to 20 November 2013 in Davos, Switzerland.
One Health promotes an integrated approach to public health, reflecting the interconnectedness of a larger ecological system. It is a worldwide strategy for expanding interdisciplinary collaborations and communications in all aspects of healthcare for humans, animals and the environment. The synergies achieved are expected to advance healthcare for the 21st century and beyond by accelerating biomedical research discoveries, enhancing public health efficacy, expeditiously expanding the scientific knowledge base, and improving medical education and clinical care.
The conference will be an opportunity to discuss the advance needed for a global integrative risk management approach. It will also identify ways to achieve added value through multi-sectorial and multi-stakeholder cooperation and promote enhanced public-private partnership models for risk-based financing tools.
