The world is not in a good shape: food prices are rising, fresh water is depleting, energy prices are soaring, biodiversity is threatened and intense storms are damaging towns and cities, while floods and droughts are threatening the livelihoods of millions. Clearly, climate change is playing a major role in these issues, just as scientists had predicted it would. And the rate of this change is accelerating.
The conference will help identify knowledge gaps and future research needs to help tackle climate change. It will see researchers assessing scientific progress towards the success of the EU's climate-related targets for 2020.For further information, please visit:
