'Water in the Urban Environment: bringing research to the market', Brussels, Belgium
Water is an increasingly precious resource and, with the exponential growth of urban populations, ensuring its quality has become a serious political issue. In this context, research and innovation are key.
Co-organised by the Water Supply and Sanitation Technology Platform (WssTP) and the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) with the support of Acqueau, the conference is dedicated to the urban context and focuses on building bridges between research and water-related societal challenges. It aims to explore the cornerstones of water innovation and its applicable directions to the market.
The conference will notably showcase the results achieved through COST funded networks focusing on the water-related challenges of urban areas. It will also build on the Water Innovation Europe 2012 conference and contribute to the implementation of the European Innovation Partnership on Water. This is a unique opportunity for scientists, industry representatives, utility representatives, innovators and policy makers to contribute to overcoming "the valley of death" between research and market application. For further information, please visit:
