'International Conference on Biodiversity', Berlin, Germany
People depend on biodiversity in their daily lives, in ways that are not always apparent or appreciated. Ecosystem products and services such as fresh water, food and fuel sources are resources we would not live without. If ecosystem services are no longer adequate to meet social needs, human health can seriously be affected: a major example is would be a continued reduction in variety of flora and fauna, which would deprive researchers from important benefits for biological, health, and pharmacological sciences.
This second edition of the conference will discuss the interactions between biodiversity and human health under rapidly changing environmental conditions, to identify research gaps, and to develop novel, innovative approaches on how to manage ecosystems and biodiversity for the benefit of humans and nature. It will welcome scientists as well as practitioners to discuss topics such as biodiversity and emerging infectious diseases, biodiversity and natural products, novel biodiversity and ecosystem health, ecosystem diversity and pathogen spread, and, finally, urban Biodiversity and public health. For further information, please visit:
