An event entitled 'Agricultural Research and Food Security - Outlook to Horizon 2020 and Beyond' will be held on 5 June 2013 in Brussels, Belgium.
The European agriculture sector is facing many challenges. At present the industry faces worsening limits of production together with the predicted climatic and demographic changes that could play an increasingly larger role in the future of the European agriculture industry thus it is necessary to address those challenges today.
The aim of the conference is to provide an overview on how agricultural research is able to contribute to food security. The half day event will bring together the views of policy makers as well as practical examples of research efforts aimed at analysing different aspects of food security.For further information, please visit:
