'Cardiotechnix 2013', Algarve, Portugal
Technology has proven instrumental in the advancement of cardiovascular diagnostics and treatment since the first accurate recording of the electrocardiogram and its development as a clinical tool in 1895. Significant advances continue to be made with evidence that there is a very high potential of improving healthcare quality by combining medical knowledge in the area of cardiology with engineering technologies, especially those derived from communications, electronics and informatics.
The congress centres on key areas including cardiovascular imaging, cardiography, computing and telecommunications in cardiology, surgical technologies and advanced robotics. It will feature workshops with an interactive platform for discussing new and emerging ideas. Symposia sessions will be dedicated to showcasing the works of particular international research projects, in addition to tutorials designed to provide attendees with practical knowledge and in-depth training in the areas of cardiovascular technologies.
The congress intends to serve as a meeting point for both academics and practitioners in order to promote the exchange of ideas, present latest research and foster the development of synergies on new approaches to challenges. For further information, please visit:
