The Eighth International Congress on Vascular Dementia & the First Cognitive Impairment European Meeting (ICVD 2013) will be held from 17 to 20 October 2013 in Athens, Greece.
With the steady increase in the life expectancy of Europe's population, researchers estimate that the number of people affected by age-related diseases such as dementia will increase dramatically in the next few years. This makes improving our understanding of the disease and its early diagnosis an important priority. The central goal of this congress is to provide participants with the latest research and developments in the study of dementia and related conditions.
Presentation topics and discussions include neuro-imaging, biomarkers in cellular processes, epidemiology and vascular cognitive impairment. Further areas of dialogue will address new therapy treatments including updates on drug trials and preventative methods.
