'BioBusiness Summer School', Amsterdam, the Netherlands
At some point during the course of their careers many life scientists will make a switch to industry. This makes knowledge of business aspects such as product development, finance and business models essential to succeed. However, in the academic arena in which scientists learn their methodical skills, these subjects are not often elaborated upon. The summer school programme aims to address this disparity by focusing on the business aspects of life sciences to prepare participants for life in industry.
Over the course of five days participants can expect to cover a spectrum of areas in biobusiness and gain an insight into the world of professional life sciences through workshops facilitated by business leaders and academics. The summer school will focus on medical biotechnology, though other fields of life sciences such as plant biotechnology, food technology and industrial biotechnology will also be discussed.
With an aim to attract and inspire PhD students and postdoctoral fellows, the programme will offer students an opportunity to network with industry experts and explore the international field of life sciences.For further information, please visit:
