The 'International Society of Geriatric Oncology Annual Conference 2013' will be held from 24 to 26 October 2013 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The importance of researching the occurrence of cancer in the elderly population has become increasingly important as the European population grows older. The goal of this conference is to bring together international experts in geriatric oncology to present the latest evidence-based research in the care of older adults with cancer.

Through a series of plenary sessions and workshops participants will be given the opportunity to follow a variety of discussion sessions on topics including solid tumours in the elderly, supportive care, advocacy and socio-economic issues. Active representatives from the entire spectrum of the geriatric community will learn from the experience of peers and demonstrate their latest research.

The symposium aims to gather researchers, clinical practitioners in oncology, geriatricians, radiologists, psychologists, nutritionists and nurses to interact, share results and best practice. It will also allow for important improvements in the understanding and the practice of this multidisciplinary approach when treating senior adults with cancer. For further information, please visit:
