The 'European MedTech Forum 2013' will be held from 9 to 11 October 2013 in Brussels, Belgium.

The diagnostic and medical device industry is increasingly looking at the opportunities and threats related to emerging markets. On the one hand, emerging markets provide an opportunity for expansion, but on the other hand innovation coming out of emerging markets could be perceived as a threat to current business models in Europe. This conference aims to display how new rules and innovative technologies in the diagnostics and medical device industry could bring value to healthcare in Europe.

This year's conference theme revolves around medical devices in a changing Europe and primarily focuses on the impending revision of the European legislation for diagnostics and medical devices. Participants can expect insights into current healthcare trends, market access, health technology assessment and an update on the 5-year industry strategy.

The conference aims to bring together stakeholders active in the EU healthcare scene including policymakers, scientific communities, healthcare professionals and medical device industry representatives. Over the course of the three-day symposium participants will have the opportunity to establish contacts with international colleagues and gain an insight into the world of diagnostic and medical devices through a series of parallel workshops and interactive sessions. For further information, please visit:
