The Eleventh European Meeting on Glial Cells in Health and Disease will be held from 3 to 6 July 2013 in Algarve, Portugal.

Although neuroscience research has made a great deal of progress over the last decade, much more is still to be discovered in order to develop effective treatments for brain-related illnesses. To date research into glial cells - non-neuronal cells that provide support and protection for neurons in the brain - has opened new doors to better understanding brain function.

This conference will cover all areas of glial cell research through a series of plenary lectures, technical workshops and demonstrative seminars. Topics of discussion include glial cell biology, therapeutic strategies for neurodegenerative diseases and genetic manipulation analysis.

The event will bring together scientists, academics and neurosurgeons to present their latest research in the field of neurobiology and new approaches for treating brain associated diseases.For further information, please visit:
