Eleventh European Meeting on Glial Cells in Health and Disease, Berlin, Germany
Although neuroscience research has made a great deal of progress over the last decade, much more is still to be discovered in order to develop effective treatments for brain-related illnesses. To date research into glial cells - non-neuronal cells that provide support and protection for neurons in the brain - has opened new doors to better understanding brain function.
This conference will cover all areas of glial cell research through a series of plenary lectures, technical workshops and demonstrative seminars. Topics of discussion include glial cell biology, therapeutic strategies for neurodegenerative diseases and genetic manipulation analysis.
