Modern-day society is faced with many challenges including climate change and scarcity of energy resources. Addressing these issues require interdisciplinary answers in the design, operation and regulation of systems that generate or use energy.
This conference aims to examine the challenges posed by the increasing concentration of the world's population in cities. In this context, the theme centres on designing sustainable cities for people and the planet. Topics of discussion include smart cities, buildings and end-uses, clean energy supply in addition to policy and assessment.
