The 'European Forum for Industrial Biotechnology and the Biobased Economy' (EFIB 2013) will be held from 30 September to 2 October 2013 in Brussels, Belgium.

Bioeconomy encompasses the production of renewable biological resources and their conversion into food, feed and bio-based products. This growing sector offers solutions to a number of societal and environmental challenges including climate change and food security.

This year's conference theme centres on business meeting policy in biotechnology. The forum aims to cover a broad spectrum of topics including the application of biotechnology, market access for biobased products and bioprocessing science.

The event will bring together policy makers, biotech groups and analysts to discuss how the EU can facilitate stakeholders to develop an efficient biobased market place.For further information, please visit:
