A workshop entitled 'An African e-Infrastructure for Virtual Research Communities and their Applications' will be held on 13 November 2013 in Kigali, Rwanda.
The EU-backed CHAIN-REDS project seeks to boost scientific and technological collaboration on an international scale in order to define the path towards a global e-Infrastructure ecosystem.
The consortium has now joined forces with the eI4Africa project - an EU-funded project aimed at advancing e-infrastructures in Africa - to organise a workshop to discuss areas of common interest and expertise in expanding the deployment of e-infrastructure technology across the African continent.
The main objectives of the workshop are to enhance collaboration among African and European scientists, raise awareness of regional research and education networks in addition to demonstrate the relevance of e-infrastructures and advanced networks.For further information, please visit:
