The 2014 edition of the "European Health Law Conference" will take place in Riga, Latvia from 28 to 29 April 2014. It will focus on the theme 'Access to Health Care: Looking for a Legal Road Map'.
It will bring together health law and policy experts to discuss the critical challenges in European health law, specifically in respect to health care. The task of balancing human rights with health care law is a key focus today and topics to be discussed will include the right to health as a fundamental human right, health care access from a global and European perspective and privatization of health care.
The University of Latvia, which is hosting the event, is inviting health law practitioners and academics, policy makers, bioethicists, health economists and researchers to attend and participate.
