The International Conference on Media and Popular Culture will take place from 30 to 31 May 2014 in Vienna, Austria.

The pivotal role that media and popular culture play in shaping our daily lives is undeniable. This conference will focus on understanding how audiences are influenced by these media, with a focus on a number of different models of audiences (hypodermic model, normative model, model of satisfying needs, interpretative model, structural interpretative model). NGO activists, Master and PhD students and independent researchers will be amongst those attending and presenting.

People interested in attending will have to pay EUR 290. Those who are interested in presenting at the event are invited to submit proposals for the area they are interested in, with abstracts having to be submitted by 15 April.For more information, please visit:
