12th International Information Security Conference

The 12th International Information Security Conference on "Information systems security: Facing the information society of the 21st century" will take place in Samos, Greece, on 21-24 May 1996.

The conference aims to provide a forum for discussion and criticism on all aspects of information security, with a view to identifying and meeting the security requirements of the information society of the 21st century.

The conference will comprise keynote lectures, expert papers, student research papers and presentations of the results of EU-sponsored projects in information security, within the framework of programmes such as INFOSEC, RACE, ESPRIT, AIM, TEDIS, etc.

Topics for discussion will include:

- Information security management;
- Security in distributed and cooperative computing environments;
- Information systems evaluation, certification and accreditation;
- Development of secure systems;
- Intrusion detection systems;
- Smart card technologies;
- Information security education, training and awareness;
- Security in EDI systems;
- Information security technologies for applications in sectors such as health care, banking, insurance, government, etc.
