A workshop entitled "Energy efficiency in urban public transport" will take place in Barcelona, Spain, on 16 March 1995. The workshop is taking place in the framework of the THERMIE programme of the European Commission and is being organized by Institut Catala d'Energia (ICAEN).
The workshop is intended to disseminate different strategies and technologies for planning urban mobility and for improving the energy efficiency of public transport systems.
The workshop will cover the following topics:
- Public transport and the city;
- Management of urban public transport;
- Public transport and the user;
- Energy alternatives for urban surface transport.
