Transnational partnerships in an international environment: The future of European research

A conference entitled "Transnational partnerships in an international environment: The future of European research" will take place in London on 28 March 1995.

The theme of transnational partnership will be dealt with in the context of participation in the Fourth Framework Programme for research and technological development. Topics will include:

- "The future of EU-funded research", by Mr. Richard Escritt, Head of Division, Framework Programme, DG XII;
- "Transnational partnerships for EU research", by Mr. Mario Bellardinelli, Head of Unit, DG XIII;
- "RTD programme application procedures", by Mr. Graham Stroud, Scientific Officer, DG XII.

The conference will also host workshops on the following specific programmes of the Fourth Framework Programme:

- Information and communications technologies;
- Industrial and materials technologies;
- Marine sciences;
- Targeted socio-economic research;
- Biotechnology;
- Agriculture and fisheries;
- Clean and efficient energy technologies;
- Cooperation with third countries.
