Germany
The THERMIE programme of the European Commission, DG XVII, will hold a workshop on "New energy saving technologies in the field of plastics recycling" on 23 March 1995 in Mulheim an der Ruhr in Germany. The workshop is organized by the ZENIT Centre for Innovation and Technology, a member of the OPET network, and the THERMIE programme.

The aim of the workshop is to present energy-efficient plastics recycling technologies in terms of material recycling from different European countries and thus to contribute to their faster dissemination in the European plastics industry.

The workshop will concentrate on the mechanical recycling of plastics. It will be of interest to managers in the plastics processing industries, recycling companies, mechanical engineering companies in the field of plastics recycling equipment, and consulting engineers.

A major part of the workshop will be devoted to discussion of the recycling processes in the form of four parallel round-table sessions. The programme will be complemented by a site visit.
