CRIS '95: Current research information systems in Europe

A European Conference on the Current Research Information Systems in Europe, CRIS '95, will take place in Milan, Italy, on 11-13 May 1995.

CRIS '95 aims to define future measures in the following areas:

- Limited usage of CRIS and lack of interest from potential users;
- Emerging idea of pan-European data exchange on research and research collaboration;
- Consequences of the application of the new information technologies and networking on CRIS.

The following sessions will take place:

- Towards a European CRIS;
- CRIS as an intermediary between research and application;
- Judicial aspects of data privacy;
- Research information systems as information tools;
- Provision of information for services;
- Application of new technologies to CRIS;
- CRIS for technology transfer;
- CRIS in Central and East European countries and non-European countries.

The conference programme includes tutorials on network information retrieval systems and CORDIS databases and services.
