Topics for discussion include:

- Information infrastructure;
- The Internet;
- Electronic data interchange;
- Role of international library associations;
- National information infrastructure from a US perspective;
- Libraries of the future;
- Advances made in Central and East European countries.

A series of satellite seminars will be held on the following topics:

- Library and risk management issues;
- Quality and innovation management;
- Making appropriate use of the Internet.

A parallel exhibition of related information technologies and products will also take place.
