A conference on "The telecommunications superhighway: Accelerating the pace in Europe" will take place in Brussels on 28 March 1995. It is organized by Forum Europe, in partnership with British Telecom. A number of speakers from the European Commission will take part.
The conference will provide a platform for a European-wide debate on the liberalization of telecommunications markets. It will enable participants to explore common ground and reinforce the drive for change. The following sessions will take place:
- Meeting the challenges of a global market;
- A regulatory model for telecommunications in Europe;
- What the information superhighway means for business.
Participants will receive a special background report in advance of the event designed to provide an essential briefing on the issues for discussion.
