Fourth European Conference on Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing

In the framework of the BRITE/EURAM programme for industrial and materials technologies, the Commission (DG XII) is organizing the Fourth European Conference on Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing, to take place in Belgirate, Italy, on 13-15 June 1995.

The conference will provide information on the various current rapid prototyping systems and applications as well as developments from CAD to tooling. It will cover the following areas:

- Presentation of research projects on rapid prototyping supported by the BRITE/EURAM programme and co-working the targeted research action on "Rapid prototyping and free-form manufacturing";
- Discussion on the industrial needs and the orientation of future research in this area;
- CAD and software issues for rapid prototyping and manufacturing;
- Developments in rapid prototyping and manufacturing;
- Tooling from rapid prototyping;
- Management of rapid prototyping and manufacturing.

A parallel exhibition will include the following themes and product groups:

- Rapid prototyping systems;
- CAD software;
- Reserve engineering;
- Investment casting.

An information stand on the BRITE/EURAM programme will also be organized during the conference.
