International Wood As Fuel Conference: "Wood fuel into practice"
The conference will address fuel resource deployment and project development, the financing of new energy utilization, and the non-technical barriers to implementation processes.
Along with its associated workshops and site visits, the conference will draw on experiences from energy programmes in Europe, the USA, and work being supported by the International Energy Agency.
The interests of the following groups will be addressed:
- Fuel supply contractors from farming and forestry;
- Land owners;
- The farming community;
- Financiers and laywers;
- Equipment suppliers;
- Environmental interest groups;
- Forest owners.
The workshop discussions will cover the following:
- Wood fuel from conventional forestry resources;
- Biomass-fuelled power stations;
- CAP reforms and energy crop production;
- Wood-fired heating plant;
- Wood-fuel utilization case studies.
