A European conference on furniture flammability, "The combustion behaviour of upholstered furniture", will take place in Brussels on 27 June 1995. It is organized by the CBUF Consortium and supported by DG XII of the European Commission.
The conference will present the findings of the Commission research project on the combustion behaviour of upholstered furniture (CBUF), sponsored by DG XII's Standards, Measurements and Testing programme. Main topics include:
- The burning behaviour of furniture in large-scale tests;
- A system for fire safety design;
- Assessment of heat, smoke and toxic gases from small-scale experiments;
- The future and furniture.
