ACTS workshop on "Security, dependability and safety of communications systems and services"

A workshop on "Security, dependability and safety of communications systems and services" will take place in Brussels on 29 June 1995. It is organized by the European Commission, DG XIII, in the framework of its Advanced Communications Technologies and Services (ACTS) programme of the Fourth Framework Programme.

The workshop programme is as follows:

- Issues and topics of security, dependability and safety;
- Basic concepts, regulatory and legal aspects, tools and techniques for secure, safe and dependable communications systems;
- A solution to secure inter-networking with metropolitan area networks;
- Billing Internet services;
- Secure and safe communication protocols;
- A CSP approach to the security and safety properties of cryptographic protocols;
- Production of a summary report with recommendations for further action by the Community and possible inclusion of appropriate tasks in the workplan of the new ACTS call for proposals.
