The SMAU'95 International Exhibition of Information and Communications Technology will take place in Milan on 21-25 September 1994.

The exhibition offers an overview of the world of information and communications technology and will include;

- Presentation of new technologies, products. applications and services;
- Retrospective exhibitions;
- Conferences, seminars and workshops on a wide-range of issues related to the development of information and communications technology;
- Seminars and workshops organised by participating companies;
- SMAU Industrial Designs Award;
- SMAU Journalism Award.

The exhibition will include (non-exhaustive list) sections covering the following areas:

- Informatisation in the financial sector;
- Informatic solutions for the public administration and health sectors;
- Integrating information technology systems in the networking sector (including a stand on Internet);
- Latest innovations in the field of open software systems;
- Developments in the area of printing (including CAE.CAD/CAM technologies, applications based on optic memories, electronic and desk top publishing and the use of digital cameras);
- The global communications village (issues surrounding the convergence of telecommunications, information technology and media).

A European Commission stand will display CORDIS products, including an on-line demonstration of CORDIS, Watch-CORDIS and the CORDIS CD-ROM.
