The Sixth international conference and exhibition on enterprise integration in Europe - CALS (Computer-Aided Acquisition and Logistic Support) EUROPE '95 - will take place in Hamburg Germany, on 4-6 October 1995. The event is being organized with the cooperation of the European Commission.

CALS EUROPE '95 provides a forum for the examination of government and industrial views on the requirements of CALS technologies. The actual technology available to implement CALS, and practical knowledge gained in commercial and industrial CALS implementation efforts, will also be examined.

The conference is devoted to strengthening the European effort to integrate information technology into the domains of electronic commerce, logistics support, product design and manufacturing integration. The opening session of the conference will be addressed by Mr. George Metakides, Director of the European Commission's Information Technologies programme under the Fourth Framework Programme.

CALS EUROPE '95 will support the objectives of the Information Technologies programme and IMS initiative to advance productivity and enforce global collaboration of European industry.

It will focus essentially on technical and policy issues for implementing CALS-compliant information technology, the overall aim being to optimize business relationships between government, industry, suppliers and contractors.
