Synergy Workshop on heat pricing problems

DG XVII and LDK Consultants are organizing an energy cost evaluation and energy pricing Workshop on heat pricing problems in Warsaw on 16 and 17 October 1995, in the framework of the European Commission's Synergy programme.
The Synergy programme aims to promote cooperation between the EU and non-member countries on the definition of energy policies. The annual budget of some ECU 9 million is directed primarily at institution building, advising national energy authorities, developing technical tools for energy policy making and training/information for people working in the energy sector.
The following topics will be covered at the Workshop:
- Introduction on European government energy policies;
- Energy cost pricing;
- Project profitability evaluation;
- Social cost of energy;
- Energy taxes, subsidies and incentives;
- New planning methods: integrated resource planning.
