A event entitled Multimedia For The European Citizen will take place at the European Parliament Building, Strasbourg, on 26 October 1995.

The event will examine the impacts, possibilities and opportunities of multimedia for the citizen and the individual person in the context of the information society. Subjects such as "The Impact of Interactive Television on the Citizen" and ""Virtual Reality" will be presented, followed by panel discussion.

The event is being organized by the European Multimedia Forum (EMF), a non-governmental platform for companies engaged in European multimedia related activities. The EMF facilitates problem identification, fosters information exchange, business contacts and partnership possibilities. The purpose of the EMF is to foster the growth of the multimedia industry and to successfully face the challenges brought about by the implementation of the information society.

EMF members include representatives of industrialists, technology and service providers as well as users and educational institutions.
