Second International Conference on Gerontechnology
Gerontechnology seeks to enhance the interaction between elderly people and their environment in order to maintain the maximum level of sustained functional autonomy and independence. The aim of the conference is to encourage designers and engineers to participate alongside researchers and professionals in joint R&D programmes serving the older consumer and worker, and to make them aware of age-related changes in human performance so that they can adapt their products accordingly.
The conference is targeted at:
- Researchers, designers and engineers from various disciplines dealing with the ageing and the aged;
- Product developers, producers and marketers;
- Professional private and public service providers;
- Administrators and planners from state authorities and insurance companies.
The three-day conference will consist of both plenary and parallel sessions. It will also include an exhibition of products and services in the field of gerontechnology.
