A conference entitled "Companies and the new Euro-Mediterranean Economic Area" will take place in Brussels, Belgium, from 28 February to 1 March 1996. The conference is being organized by the "Club de Bruxelles" and is being supported by the European Commission.
This three-day conference aims to inform participants of the various implications, financial, economic, commercial and technological, of the increased cooperation between the EU and the Mediterranean countries following the launch of the new Euro-Mediterranean partnership at the Barcelona Conference in November 1995. It will also provide a forum for establishing contacts with those in Europe, and in the Mediterranean countries, responsible for implementing policy in this area.
