A European workshop on "Harmonization within atmospheric dispersion modelling for regulatory purposes" will take place in Ostende, Belgium, on 6-9 May 1996. The workshop, the fourth in a series, is being organized by the Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO), within the framework of the COST programme for international cooperation in the field of scientific and technical research.
The main topics on the final workshop programme are as follows:
- Model validation kit;
- Model output intercomparison exercises;
- Regulatory models in specific countries;
- Practical application with atmospheric dispersion models;
- Results from European concerted research actions on pre-processing of meteorological data for dispersion models and on modelling in the urban canopy;
- Activities of the European Environment Agency with respect to air quality monitoring.
