The second international symposium on "Optical systems design and production" will take place in Glasgow, Scotland, on 13-16 May 1996. The event is being organized by the European Optical Society (EOS) and the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE), with the support of the European Commission (DG XII).
First held in Berlin in 1992, this second international symposium will review recent developments in the design and manufacture of optical components, thin film coatings and optical systems. In addition to presenting the most recent developments in optical design and production, the event will also provide an opportunity for interaction between all those concerned with technology transfer (R&D groups, manufacturers, users and funding agencies).
A number of companies involved in optical systems design and production will participate in an exhibition which is to run in parallel with the symposium.
