A conference entitled "Small and medium-sized enterprises in a learning society" will take place in London, UK, on 20-21 June 1996. The conference is being organized by the University of North London within the framework of the "European Year of Lifelong Learning". It is being supported by the European Commission.

The purpose of the event is to promote and stimulate the implementation of lifelong learning strategies in order to boost the competitive advantage of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe.

Subject to prior approval from the conference organizers, participants will have the opportunity to present specific projects, experiences and examples of best and innovative practices at the conference workshops.
