IFIP/SEC'96: 12th International Information Security Conference

The 12th International Information Security Conference, IFIP/SEC'96, will take place on the island of Samos, Greece, on 21-24 May 1996. The four-day conference will cover a wide range of information security issues, including:

- Information security management;
- Security in distributed and cooperative security environments;
- Information systems security evaluation;
- Certification and accreditation;
- Information security standards;
- Privacy issues;
- Development of secure systems;
- Legal issues in information security;
- Smart card technologies;
- Data base security;
- Training and awareness;
- Intrusion detection systems;
- Security in EDI systems;
- Information security technologies for, and applications in, sectors such as health, banking, insurance, government, etc.

During the conference, sessions will be held to present the results of major information security projects funded by the European Commission under such programmes as AIM, ESSI, ESPRIT, INFOSEC, RACE and TEDIS.
