The UK Institute of European Trade and Technology (IETT) is organizing a one-day interactive BRITE/EURAM Project Management Workshop, to take place in London on 17 May 1996.

BRITE/EURAM is a Community research and technological development programme in the field of industrial and materials technologies (1994-1998). The workshop is aimed at BRITE/EURAM coordinators under the Community's Fourth Framework Programme, and at project managers of ongoing BRITE/EURAM projects under the Third Framework Programme.

The purpose of the workshop is to avoid errors and misinterpretations in the submission of any of the formal documents required by the Commission, which can result in delays and reduced payments. It will provide answers to the specific needs and problems of R&D projects and will be led by experienced EC evaluators and a senior Commission official.

In particular, the workshop will examine:

- How to manage a consortium;
- The management of specific issues relating to BRITE/EURAM projects;
- Contractual procedures between the consortium and the Commission;
- Pitfalls and errors.

There will also be the examination of a case study and the opportunity for one-to-one consultations.
