First Annual Users' Seminar of the Space Applications Institute

The European Commission's Joint Research Centre is organizing the First Annual Users' Seminar of the Space Applications Institute, to take place in Baveno, Italy, on 28-29 May 1996.
The seminar will present the activities of the Space Application Institute (SAI), one of the institutes of the JRC. In particular, it will examine the SAI's role in Europe and its positioning between science and industry.
The seminar will also present the JRC's Centre for Earth Observation project, the earth observation programme of the European Space Agency and the structural developments of the European earth observation industry. In particular, the seminar will discuss the preparation of proposals for area 3.3 (Centre for Earth Observation) of the Environment and Climate programme of the Community's Fourth RTD Framework Programme.
