The European Electronic Messaging Association (EEMA) will hold its ninth annual conference in Brussels, Belgium, from 10 to 13 June 1996. EEMA is a member of the European Commission's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) partnership, which is intended to provide open and effective dialogue on ICT policy.

The conference aims to provide information about the technologies available for the improvement of European business communications. It will cover all forms of electronic messaging, including EDI, e-mail, the Internet, computer faxes and the World Wide Web.

In addition to sectoral meetings covering the various areas of activity of EEMA to be held during the week, five seminars will be held on Monday 10 June to discuss the following subjects:

- Electronic commerce;
- Directories;
- Security aspects of messaging;
- Mobile messaging technology;
- Messaging on the Internet.

There will also be an industry demonstration area at the conference, where companies will exhibit the latest in messaging and electronic commerce technology.
