EDCC-2 - Second European Dependable Computing Conference

The Second European Dependable Computing Conference, "EDCC-2", will take place in Taormina, Italy, from 2 to 4 October 1996. It is organized by the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics (ERCIM), part of the ESPRIT Network of Excellence.
The conference will enable researchers and practitioners to present and discuss their latest research results and developments in the field of computer dependability and its particular attributes, namely reliability, availability, safety and security. Major topics will include:
- Fault-tolerant systems and components;
- Validation and verification;
- Test and evaluation;
- Safety critical systems;
- Secure systems;
- Dependable software.
In addition, an Industrial Track will present practical experience reports.
