The 14th World Computer Congress, IFIP'96, will take place in Canberra, Australia, from 2 to 6 September 1996. It is hosted by the Australian Computer Society.

Leading experts in information technology (IT) and its applications in government, business and education will present, during a series of conferences, the technical and practical aspects of:

- Advanced IT tools: latest developments in multimedia, information highways and intelligent systems;
- Mobile communications: mobile computer systems and applications, including authentication and security;
- Teleteaching;
- Business practice.

A technical exhibition will present the latest equipment, software products and services offered by local and international organizations.

In addition, the congress will feature IT workshops in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne.
