The second European Motor Biofuels Forum will take place in Graz, Austria, on 22-25 September 1996. This official Forum of the European Commission is being organized by Joanneum Research at the initiative of the European Commission's specific RTD programme for the promotion of renewable energy sources in the Community (ALTENER).

It is designed to encourage the extensive exchange of experiences in the development of biofuels and its applications. Each area of liquid biofuels policy will be addressed over the three days of the Forum, from raw material to production and marketing.

The Forum will comprise a number of events including an exhibition, technical tours and a series of special meetings, of which:

- Meeting of the European Biofuels Secretariat (sponsored by the ALTENER programme): Sunday, 22 September 1996;
- Meeting of the International Energy Agency: Monday, 23 September 1996;
- Meeting of the European NTB-Biofuels Network to present the results of the "Non-Technical Barriers for Biofuels" network, supported by the ALTENER programme: Wednesday, 25 September 1996;
- Meeting of all participants of the NTB network: Thursday, 26 September 1996;
- Board meeting of the European Biodiesel Board representing major producers in Austria, Germany, Italy and France: Thursday, 26 September 1996.
