JOULE/THERMIE Information Day

An "Information Day" on the forthcoming call for proposals for the Community's specific RTD programme in the field of non-nuclear energy (JOULE/THERMIE), will be held in Trier, Germany, on 9 October 1996. The seminar is being organized by the Euro Info Centre in Trier in collaboration with the Innovation Relay Centres Luxinnovation, Luxembourg, and ZPT, Saarbrueken.
The JOULE/THERMIE seminar will provide information on the call for proposals due to be published on 16 September 1996. In particular, it will provide participants with advice and guidance on the preparation of applications. Previous applicants, who have successfully completed EC-funded RTD projects, will report on their experiences.
The JOULE programme will invite proposals for RTD projects relating to energy RTD strategy, rational use of energy and fossil fuels, including a few relating to renewable energies. The THERMIE programme will be seeking proposals for demonstration projects in: the rational use of energy in buildings, transport and industry; renewable energies, including photovoltaic, wind, biomass, small hydro and geothermal energy plants; clean production of electricity from solid fuels and hydro carbons.
