TELEWORK UK'96, the sole annual UK conference on the topic of teleworking and a major event of the European Telework Week supported by the European Commission (DG XIII), will be held in London, United Kingdom, from 6 to 8 November 1996.

The conference, entitled "Tomorrow's workplace today", will cover a number of aspects of the growing application of teleworking, with speakers from a variety of backgrounds, including: the European Commission; software and hardware manufacturers; researchers; local and national organizations; and users of teleworking technologies.

Participants in the conference will be able to find out about the latest technologies in areas such as remote access, videoconferencing, security, internet and intranet. The complex issues for human resources and management, as well as the changes in work patterns caused by increases in teleworking, will be discussed. The effects of teleworking on other areas such as transport, property development and the environment will also be considered.
