The first AESOPIAN seminar on best practices in Telematics Applications will be held on 7 November 1996, in Madrid, Spain. The AESOPIAN project is funded by the Community's specific RTD programme in the field of Telematics Applications.

The AESOPIAN project is a major action of compilation, elaboration, dissemination and promotion of best practices in telematics applications, housed on a best practices server on the World Wide Web. The aim of the seminar is to:

- Create awareness and consensus on issues such as adoption and use of best practices among telematics applications suppliers;
- To carry out a preliminary test on the AESOPIAN server, tool and database value and usability;
- To discuss issues relating to best practices gathering and dissemination.
