PHARE and TACIS workshop - UK

A workshop on opportunities under the PHARE and TACIS programmes, organized by the Institute for European Trade and Technology (IETT), will be held in London, United Kingdom, on 6 December 1996. The workshop is designed to provide information for organizations interested in winning contracts for projects in Central and Eastern European countries (CEECs) under the PHARE and TACIS technical assistance programmes.

The workshop, which will include tutoring, discussions, group exercises and practical sessions, as well as one-to-one consultations, will be led by PHARE evaluators and programme advisors. The programme will include:

- How the aid-funding agencies work;
- Drafting a letter of interest and preparation of a full proposal;
- Evaluation of proposals - what it takes to be successful;
- Recent developments in PHARE and TACIS - Finding out about tender opportunities;
- Finding partners/working in CEECs;
- Financial implications/contracts/progress reviews.
